Interesting Courses:

REH 110: Introduction to Disabilities
A memorable aspect of this class was the wheelchair experience, which gave me a new perspective on the daily life of someone with a physical disability. It really opened my eyes to significant needs of specific populations.
REH 212: Rehabilitation and Families
I really enjoy this class because it concentrates on addiction in families. I am learning a lot on how to not only help an individual struggling with addiction, but using the family unit as a critical part of recovery.
REH 305: Group Process
Leading a group therapy session was something out of my comfort zone, but I gained a lot of confidence and experience from. I also had the opportunity to lead a real group in a high school, which was great real world learning experience to use in the future.
HEA 211: Substance Abuse Prevention
I enjoyed this class because it focused on another perspective of human services: prevention. I was able to think outside of my comfort zone of individuals, to the larger scale of helping society and communities as a whole.
